Cross-border calls

LineMod is a security gateway with agent behavior observability—guardrails at the edge, harness diagnostics across runs, and policy routing when you need it. This page explains how LineMod handles cross-border model calls and residency. Deployments stay region-scoped unless an allowlisted flow moves traffic.

Residency defaults

Deployments are region-scoped to keep control plane data and default routing assumptions aligned with customer requirements.

What crosses a border?

Only allowlisted flows should move traffic across regions, and payloads should pass policy scanning.

Latency expectations

Cross-border hops can add tens to hundreds of milliseconds depending on path and provider; prefer same-region routes for latency-sensitive workloads.

Configuration

Use X-LineMod-Region and organization policies to constrain destinations per key or environment.
